My editing schedule is currently full for September, but I still have room for new projects in October and November, so please email me if your draft will ready for editing around this time and I’ll pencil you in! However, I’m just about to jump on my bike and ride from Berlin to Copenhagen, so if you send me a query I won’t be able to reply until after September 15. Until then, I’ll be busy riding my ass off, camping who-knows-where, and hopefully reading a lot of SFF (the Kindle is fully loaded). See you in two weeks. 🙂
The writer is not … an all-powerful architect of our reading experience. The writer guides the way we imagine but does not determine it. A film begins with a writer producing a screenplay. But it is the director who brings the screenplay to life, filling in most of the details. So it is with any story. A writer lays down words, but they are inert. They need a catalyst to come to life. The catalyst is the reader’s imagination.
